The Smiler

Festival of Thrills returns in 2023, celebrating there awesome rollercoasters but this year with a twist – The Smiler Takeover.

Join Alton Towers for a series of marmalising experiences dedicated to the world’s first 14-looping rollercoaster, The Smiler, in its 10th year.

2Mardi Gras

Looking down at Towers Street

Mardi Gras returns for a fabulous line up of food, drink and entertainment.

Not forgetting that you will have the chance to ride there rollercoasters as the sun goes down.

3Oktoberfest

Alton Towers have announced that his years Oktoberfest will be bigger and better, the ultimate family fun festival.

You will have the chance to ride a selection of rollercoasters and family favourites as darkness falls.

Themed entertainment for all ages and delicious food!

4Scarefest

Scarefest located at the bottom of Towers Street

Are you ready to join Alton Towers at this year’s terrifyingly fantastic Scarefest event with spooks, frights and thrills for everyone? This unmissable event takes place on selected dates in October when the Resort becomes home to Halloween.

Open until 9pm so you can enjoy your favourite rides in the dark including Wicker Man and The Smiler!

5Fireworks

Fireworks over The Towers and Lake

Join Alton Towers for a spectacular Fireworks event, that will dazzle and delight! This sensational display will be your last chance to experience there rides and attractions before there 2023 season comes to an end.
