If you’re planning an adrenaline-filled weekend on the UK’s coast, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is once again opening its gates for the 2026 season. Known for its iconic skyline of roller coasters and historic attractions, the park offers one of the most thrilling theme park experiences in the UK.

From world-class coasters to family rides and exciting upcoming additions, here’s everything you need to know before visiting this season.

Park Opening Times and Ticket Prices

The park is currently operating with 11:00am – 5:00pm opening hours during the early part of the season.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to book tickets online, where prices currently start from £30 per person depending on the date of your visit.

Booking online not only saves money but also helps avoid queues at the ticket booths on busy weekends.

Please note: The discounted prices above are valid until 6am on the day of your visit. Tickets bought on the same day as your visit after 6am will be charged at our full price (gate) rate, so we recommend booking in advance.

Thrill Rides That Make the Park Famous

Few UK parks can match the intensity and history of the coaster lineup at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Some of the park’s biggest adrenaline rides include:

  • The Big One – Once the tallest roller coaster in the world, this legendary ride still dominates the Blackpool skyline.
  • ICON – A multi-launch coaster that delivers smooth, high-speed thrills.
  • Infusion – A suspended coaster running dramatically over water along the seafront.
  • Grand National – A classic wooden racing coaster that delivers chaotic side-by-side thrills.

However, if you’re visiting early in the season, it’s worth noting that Grand National is currently undergoing maintenance and is scheduled to reopen in June.

Planned Ride Maintenance for 2026

Like many major theme parks, Blackpool Pleasure Beach schedules maintenance work at the start of the season to ensure rides are safe and running smoothly.

The following attractions have planned opening dates:

  • Dora’s World Voyage – Opening 28 March
  • Grand National – Expected to reopen June
  • Valhalla – Scheduled to reopen 20 May

Valhalla in particular is one of the park’s most spectacular attractions, combining fire, water, and special effects in one of the most immersive dark rides in the world.

If Valhalla is on your must-ride list, planning your visit after May 20th will give you the best chance to experience it.

New Attraction Under Construction for 2026

Looking ahead, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is also preparing for a major new attraction called Aviktas, which is currently under construction.

While details remain limited, the new ride is expected to open in 2026 and is already generating excitement among theme park fans. As construction progresses, enthusiasts will be watching closely to see how the new attraction fits into the park’s already impressive ride lineup.

Why Blackpool Pleasure Beach Is Perfect for an Adrenaline Weekend

One of the biggest reasons thrill-seekers love Blackpool Pleasure Beach is the density of major rides in a compact park. Unlike many larger resorts, the coasters here are tightly packed together, meaning you can experience multiple headline rides in a single day.

Highlights include:

  • Multiple record-breaking roller coasters
  • A mix of historic rides and modern thrill machines
  • A classic seaside amusement park atmosphere
  • Easy access from the famous Blackpool Promenade

Pair the park with arcades, seaside fish and chips, and evening entertainment along the promenade, and you’ve got the perfect UK thrill-seeker weekend.

With affordable tickets, legendary roller coasters, and a major new attraction on the horizon, Blackpool Pleasure Beach remains one of the UK’s best destinations for adrenaline fans.

Just remember when planning your trip:

  • Park hours currently run 11am – 5pm
  • Online tickets start from £30
  • Some rides, including Valhalla and Grand National, have scheduled reopening dates
  • Aviktas is currently under construction for a future opening

If you’re craving a weekend packed with thrills, speed, and classic seaside fun, Blackpool Pleasure Beach delivers the perfect adrenaline fix.
