Blackpool Pleasure Beach has announced a spectacular new live show for 2026, as the historic seaside park celebrates an incredible 130 years of thrills and entertainment.
The all-new production, Alice: Frozen in a Wonderland of Dreams, will debut this summer, bringing a fresh twist to the classic story of Alice in Wonderland—and drawing inspiration from one of the park’s most beloved rides.
The new show forms part of a milestone season for the Lancashire attraction, which is also marking 90 years of ice shows inside its famous Pleasure Beach Arena.
CEO Amanda Thompson OBE described 2026 as a “big year” for the park, combining major celebrations with new entertainment and attractions.
The daytime production will complement the long-running Hot Ice evening show, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1936.
Inspired by a classic ride
What makes this announcement especially exciting for theme park fans is the show’s deep connection to the park’s history.
The new performance is inspired by the iconic Alice in Wonderland dark ride, which has been entertaining guests since the early 1960s.
That attraction itself has a fascinating origin story—reportedly based on a Disneyland version, with links to Walt Disney dating back to the 1950s.
Now, more than 60 years later, the story comes full circle as Alice takes centre stage in a brand-new theatrical format.

Running from 20 July to 10 September 2026, the show promises a visually stunning experience for families and theme park fans alike.
Visitors can expect:
- A cast of over 30 international skaters, including Olympic and world-class performers
- Breathtaking choreography combined with high-speed skating
- Dazzling costumes and original music
- Immersive light and sound effects bringing Wonderland to life
The production reimagines Lewis Carroll’s classic tale as an ice-based fantasy adventure, blending storytelling with athletic performance.
