PortAventura to Re-track Parts of Dragon Khan Roller Coaster

Dragon Khan

PortAventura World, the popular theme park located in Salou, Spain, has announced significant maintenance work for their legendary roller coaster, Dragon Khan. This B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) Looping Coaster, which has thrilled visitors for nearly three decades, will undergo partial re-tracking during the winter season.

The renovation project will focus on two of the coaster’s most iconic elements: the towering vertical loop and the intense cobra roll section. Dragon Khan, which first opened its gates to riders in 1995, has been a cornerstone attraction at PortAventura, featuring an impressive combination of eight inversions along its steel track.

This maintenance initiative demonstrates PortAventura’s commitment to preserving their classic attractions while ensuring optimal performance and guest safety. The re-tracking work will help maintain the coaster’s smooth ride experience and extend its operational lifespan for future generations of thrill-seekers to enjoy.
