Pinfari of Italy built the steel family rollercoaster Beastie.

This green Beastie was a jolly introduction to the world of rollercoasters at Alton Towers. It was just fast enough for kids to get a rush of excitement.

The Beastie first arrived at Alton Towers for the 1983 season.

Alton Towers announced in 2011 that the Beastie will cease operations. It was removed from the park in 2013.

Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure, a Zamperla family coaster, opened in 2015 on the site of Beastie.
