Alton Towers Resort confirms Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies will officially open on 28 March 2026 inside CBeebies Land.

The colourful new ride — inspired by the globally popular Bluey episode “Grannies” — promises interactive fun, lively music, and plenty of giggles for younger guests and families visiting the Staffordshire theme park.

A playful new addition for CBeebies Land

Designed as a gentle, family-friendly attraction, Hooray! Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies will invite riders to join Bluey, Bingo, and their hilarious granny personas Janet and Rita on a playful adventure packed with recognisable moments from the hit series.

Alton Towers says the experience will feature bright set pieces, upbeat show scenes, and ride vehicles themed around the episode’s iconic mobility scooters — giving children the chance to feel like they’re part of the chaos as the Grannies race into action.

The attraction continues the park’s ongoing investment in CBeebies Land, strengthening its offering for preschoolers and young families alongside existing rides and shows.

11,000 bean cans to celebrate

In true Bluey fashion, the launch is being marked with a quirky statistic that fans will instantly appreciate — 11,000 bean cans. The playful nod references the memorable “Grannies” storyline and highlights the light-hearted spirit the new attraction aims to capture.

While the bean cans are symbolic rather than literal ride props, the figure has already sparked excitement among Bluey fans eager to experience the themed adventure firsthand.

Opening just in time for the 2026 season

The late-March debut positions the ride as one of the headline additions for Alton Towers’ 2026 season, arriving as the resort prepares to welcome guests back after its winter closure.

With spring weekends, school holidays, and family short breaks approaching, the new attraction is expected to become an immediate must-do within CBeebies Land — particularly for households with young Bluey fans.

Guests planning to visit during opening weekend should anticipate strong demand, with the park likely to feature themed entertainment, merchandise, and photo opportunities tied to the launch.
