Crealy Theme Park & Resort has today unveiled plans for a major multi-million-pound investment that will bring two brand-new family thrill rides to the park in 2026 — marking the biggest expansion in its history.

This ambitious move aims to broaden the appeal of Crealy’s already popular line-up by introducing attractions for older children, teens and thrill-seekers, while still delivering on the park’s reputation as one of the UK’s best family-friendly destinations.

What’s New for 2026

Crealy’s 2026 season will be headlined by two exciting new rides:

1. Pirates’ Plummet — The South West’s Tallest Ride

Scheduled to open in Spring 2026, Pirates’ Plummet will become the tallest ride in the South West. This dramatic drop tower attraction has been relocated from Paultons Park (where it previously operated under a different name) and reimagined for Crealy guests. Expect a thrilling free-fall experience that raises the adrenaline while remaining family-friendly — perfect for adventure fans from tweens to adults.

2. Rotor — The South West’s First Inverted Ride

Set to debut in Summer 2026, Rotor marks a major milestone for Crealy as the park’s first-ever inverted ride and the only one of its kind in the region. This high-energy attraction will flip and spin riders through the air, adding a new dimension of thrill and excitement to Crealy’s ride portfolio.

Together, these two headline attractions represent Crealy’s most significant development to date, expanding the resort’s appeal beyond its long-standing focus on younger families to also engage older children and teenagers.

Building on Success

The announcement follows a successful 2025 season for the Devon-based theme park. Crealy was honoured at the UK Theme Park Awards — an accolade that highlights its status as one of the UK’s top family attractions. With guest feedback pointing to demand for bigger rides alongside classic family favourites, this latest investment responds directly to what visitors want from future visits.

According to the park’s leadership, the new attractions are part of a long-term strategy to re-engage local audiences, grow Crealy’s market presence, and encourage repeat visits from both regional and national guests.

A Resort for All Ages

Crealy Theme Park & Resort is already home to more than 60 rides and attractions, alongside live entertainment, indoor and outdoor play zones, animal experiences, and on-site accommodation options including glamping and luxury lodges. This expansion with Pirates’ Plummet and Rotor signals a shift toward balancing its family-friendly heritage with more thrilling experiences that appeal to a wider age range.

  • Spring 2026: Pirates’ Plummet opens — South West’s tallest thrill ride.
  • Summer 2026: Rotor arrives — the region’s first inverted ride.

What’s Next?

With both additions scheduled for next year, 2026 is shaping up to be Crealy’s biggest year yet — redefining adventure in the South West and offering guests even more reason to plan their next visit.
