There is certainly one benefit to being born on February 29th, even though it does mean you only get one birthday every four years.

A free trip on the London Eye is avaiable to anybody born on the day, which only occurs once every leap year.

How to get your FREE Ride

You can obtain a complimentary ride by visiting the London Eye ticket hall located on the South Bank and presenting official documentation confirming your birthdate, such as a passport or driver’s licence.

For adults, the average cost of riding the attraction is £30-£40, so if you are among the fortunate few, you might be saving a significant amount of money.

Imran Tauqir, general manager at the lastminute.com London Eye, said: “We wanted to do something special for the five million people worldwide who were born on the 29th of February and offer them the chance to celebrate their quadrennial birthday in true London style – with a trip around the iconic London Eye.

“We invite all those born on this lucky day to come down and experience the best view of the city while soaring about the Thames.”
