Blackpool Air Show returned on the 12th – 13th August with the Red Arrows, officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team.
To mark the special occasion we look back on the opening of the UK’s only ride themed around the famous display team.
This 72ft high, 12-seat white-knuckle ride will take you on a 360-degree tour of the skies and sits in the shadow of the world famous Big One rollercoaster.
Stepping into your very own Red Arrows cockpit, you take control of the plane and spin, glide and take formation in your very own display.
Red Arrows Sky Force will have you spinning, swirling and exciting the senses while your fellow pilots take control of their own flights before touching down.
Red Arrows Skyforce replaced Bling, which closed in November 2011.
The attraction was opened to guests on 2nd May 2015.
An official opening performance from the Red Arrows was held on the 25th May 2015.
