A major construction milestone has been reached at Crealy Theme Park & Resort, as the park confirms that its brand-new attraction Rotor has now been successfully installed ahead of its planned Summer 2026 debut. The thrill ride will become the first inverted flat ride in the South West, marking a significant step in the park’s ongoing multi-million-pound expansion.

Rotor Takes Shape at the Devon Theme Park
According to the latest construction update from the park, installation began with the careful placement of the ride’s central hub, which acts as the core structure of the attraction. Crews then attached the large sweeping arms before installing rows of seats that will eventually send riders flipping upside down during the experience.
As each stage of construction was completed, the structure of Rotor gradually took shape, bringing the park closer to welcoming guests onto its first ever inverting attraction. The ride is designed to spin riders through a high-energy sequence of rotations while suspending them above the ground, delivering a new level of thrill at the Devon resort.
A First for the South West
Rotor will introduce a type of ride experience not currently available anywhere else in the region. Once operational, the attraction will lift riders into the air before flipping them upside down as the ride spins, offering a more intense thrill than many of Crealy’s existing family rides. The ride will also have a minimum height requirement of 120 cm, ensuring it remains accessible to older children and families looking for something more adventurous.
With the main structure now in place, the next stages will involve testing, safety checks and final preparations ahead of Rotor’s official launch in Summer 2026.
If everything stays on schedule, visitors will soon be able to experience the South West’s first inverted ride—an addition that could mark one of the most thrilling upgrades the park has introduced in years.
