Paultons Park, situated within the acclaimed New Forest National Park, has generated an impressive 357 megawatt-hours (MWh) of solar energy since March. This renewable energy source has contributed a remarkable 84% of the power required to operate the park’s largest themed area, Tornado Springs.

In a significant investment of £1.5 million, the family-owned attraction recently installed solar car ports in its staff parking lot and additional solar panels on the roofs of eleven existing buildings.

We are thrilled that our new solar infrastructure has already proven to be such a success and a hugely worthwhile investment. As a third-generation business, we’re committed to making tangible efforts to lower our environmental impact and do our bit to leave our planet in a better place than we found it.

We’re proud to be leading the way in solar energy within the UK theme park industry. We can already generate 35% of the park’s entire electricity usage through on-site renewable energy. Our solar car port canopies and new rooftop panels mark the first major phase in a larger green technology project.

These solar panels have been operational and harnessing the sun’s energy since the beginning of March 2025. Through this initiative, Paultons Park has already achieved a substantial reduction of 68 tons in CO2 emissions, delivering an environmental benefit equivalent to planting over 4,000 trees.
