Paultons Park’s newest attraction, Drakon, is now visible with the initial track segments and support structures in place.

This development marks the beginning of an exciting phase as Valgard: Realm of the Vikings takes physical form throughout the park.

Scheduled to open in 2026, Valgard represents a comprehensive, immersive expansion featuring Drakon—a Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH Euro-Fighter rollercoaster—and the first-of-its-kind flat ride in the UK from ART Engineering.

It’s one of the largest single-area investments we’ve ever made, designed to broaden our audience and strengthen our year-round offer. As always, this forms part of our long-term strategy of reinvesting profits back into the park, creating unique new experiences, supporting local jobs and ensuring Paultons continues to grow sustainably for years to come.

A huge thank you to all the teams, partners and suppliers who have worked, and continue to work, so hard to bring this project to life. Exciting times ahead and still lots to do before we open Valgard in May 2026!

The ambitious Valgard project extends beyond new attractions to include the creative reimagining of an existing rollercoaster, the development of a themed restaurant offering Norse-inspired cuisine, and the construction of an immersive play area designed to engage younger visitors.

This comprehensive approach demonstrates Paultons Park’s commitment to creating cohesive themed environments that appeal to visitors of all ages.
