The development, currently codenamed Project Dojo, has been submitted as part of an application for a Lawful Development Certificate—often an early but significant step in bringing new attractions to life.
The End of Viking River Splash Era
The replacement of Viking River Splash marks the end of a long-standing attraction that had become a nostalgic favourite for many visitors.
Originally opened in 2007, the ride offered a gentle water-based experience with interactive elements. However, it had remained closed in recent seasons, making way for future redevelopment.
Project Dojo represents a clear shift toward:

- More modern ride systems

The submission of a Lawful Development Certificate doesn’t guarantee immediate construction, but it does suggest that plans are well advanced behind the scenes.
