The Minecraft Hotel is coming to Chessington World of Adventures in 2027, giving fans the chance to stay overnight inside an immersive Minecraft-themed hotel.
Chessington World of Adventures has revealed more details about its upcoming Minecraft Hotel, which will form part of the new Minecraft World development opening at the resort in 2027.
The hotel is being designed to take guests directly into the world of Minecraft, with themed bedrooms, immersive public areas, a Minecraft-inspired restaurant and a bar.
When Will the Chessington Minecraft Hotel Open?
The Minecraft Hotel is scheduled to open in 2027 alongside Minecraft World at Chessington World of Adventures.
Chessington has currently described the hotel as “Spawning 2027”, although an exact opening date has not yet been announced. More information is expected to be revealed as construction and development progresses.
What Will the Minecraft Hotel Be Like?
Chessington says the hotel will offer a fully themed and immersive overnight experience.
Guests will enter a world inspired by some of Minecraft’s most recognisable environments, with the hotel designed to feel like part of the game rather than a conventional hotel.
The hotel will feature Minecraft-inspired theming throughout, including block-style environments, animals, items, mobs, textures and colours.
Minecraft-Themed Hotel Bedrooms
The bedrooms are being described as Minecraft “Shelters” and will continue the theme found throughout the hotel.
Chessington says guests will be able to experience Minecraft’s distinctive blocks, items, mobs, textures and colours brought to life inside the bedrooms.
This means the Minecraft theme won’t just be limited to the entrance or public areas – the immersive experience will continue when guests return to their rooms.
Minecraft Hotel Restaurant
The hotel will also feature an underwater-themed restaurant inspired by Minecraft’s ocean biomes.
This will give guests another opportunity to experience the Minecraft theme while eating during their stay.
Chessington has not yet revealed the full menu or restaurant name, so further details are expected to be announced closer to the hotel’s opening.
Minecraft-Themed Bar
There will also be a themed bar inspired by the Woodland Mansion from Minecraft.
Chessington says guests will be able to enjoy colourful “potions” within the Woodland Mansion-inspired setting.
More information about the bar, including its full design and offering, has yet to be revealed.
Immersive Minecraft ThemÂing Throughout the Hotel
One of the key features of the Minecraft Hotel will be the theming between the different areas.
Chessington says blocky trees and animals will help bring the Overworld to life around the check-in area.
Guests will also encounter Nether Portal-inspired lifts and mine tunnel-style corridors as they make their way around the hotel.
The aim is to make the journey through the hotel part of the Minecraft experience rather than simply a way of getting to the bedrooms.
Minecraft World at Chessington
The Minecraft Hotel will be part of Minecraft World, a brand-new themed area coming to Chessington World of Adventures in 2027.
Chessington describes Minecraft World as a fully immersive Minecraft-inspired theme park land featuring attractions inspired by the game’s iconic biomes, mobs and items.
The development is expected to include:
- A world-first Minecraft-inspired coaster
- Interactive adventures
- Block-built playscapes
- Minecraft-themed retail
- Themed dining
- The Minecraft Hotel
