If you think ROARR! is just another family attraction with a few dinosaur statues, think again. Hidden among the prehistoric adventures are some fascinating facts that many visitors don’t realise. Whether you’re planning your first visit or you’re already a fan, here are 10 things you probably didn’t know about Norfolk’s dinosaur-themed attraction.

1. It’s the UK’s Largest Dinosaur-Themed Park

ROARR! isn’t just a dinosaur attraction—it’s officially the UK’s largest dinosaur-themed park. Spread across 85 acres of Norfolk woodland, the park combines rides, play areas, trails and live entertainment into one huge prehistoric adventure.

2. Every Attraction Is Included in Your Ticket

Unlike some attractions where premium experiences cost extra, almost everything at ROARR! is included in your admission price. That means families can enjoy over 25 attractions, from rides to indoor play, without constantly reaching for their wallets.

3. It Wasn’t Always Called ROARR!

Long-time visitors may remember the attraction as Dinosaur Adventure. The park underwent a major rebrand in 2018, introducing the colourful ROARR! identity that visitors know today while continuing to expand its attractions.

4. The Story Behind the Park Includes a Fictional Explorer

ROARR! has created its own unique backstory centred around legendary explorer Cornelius Weston-Smythe, who supposedly discovered dinosaurs living in Norfolk woodland. While fictional, the story helps bring the park’s immersive world to life for younger visitors.

5. It’s Family-Run

Despite becoming one of East Anglia’s biggest family attractions, ROARR! remains a family-operated business. The Goymour family has owned the park since 2006 and has overseen many of its biggest developments.

6. The Indoor Play Area Is One of Norfolk’s Biggest

If the British weather turns, the fun doesn’t stop. Dinomite is one of the largest indoor soft play centres in Norfolk, making ROARR! a genuine all-weather destination for families.

7. Discovery Land Is One of the Park’s Newest Areas

The impressive Discovery Land only opened in 2023 and introduced a brand-new themed area featuring rides, interactive experiences and a unique steampunk-inspired atmosphere that blends dinosaurs with imagination.

8. It Has More Than Just Dinosaur Walkthroughs

Many people expect to find dinosaur models—but ROARR! also offers thrill rides, high ropes, splash zones, mini driving experiences, crazy golf, live shows and climbing adventures, making it much more than a traditional dinosaur park.

9. The Park Continues to Invest in New Attractions

ROARR! isn’t standing still. In 2026, the park unveiled Fossil Falls, a giant outdoor tubing slide stretching over 100 metres through the woodland, making it one of the biggest additions in the park’s history.

10. It’s Recognised for Accessibility

ROARR! has earned VisitEngland accreditation not only as a major visitor attraction but also for its commitment to accessibility and inclusion, helping ensure more families can enjoy a day out together.

ROARR! has grown far beyond its original dinosaur attraction roots. Today it offers a full day of family entertainment with rides, indoor play, outdoor adventures and immersive storytelling spread across beautiful Norfolk woodland.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to discover what’s new, there’s far more to ROARR! than meets the eye—and that’s exactly what makes it one of the UK’s most unique family attractions.
