Big Dipper Refurbishment – Celebrating 100 Years of Operation

Big Dipper has officially reopened! After nine months of Refurbishment works, the Big Dipper has had new paint in areas and maintenance on its track and structure.

The original ‘Big Dipper’ is now 100 years old, the track was extended in 1934.

Fun Fact: In August 1998, American Richard Rodriguez set a world record by continuously riding the Big Dipper for over 1000 hours, he then went on to double this mark two years later to 2000 hours!
