Kentucky Kingdom is preparing to bring a fresh dose of farmyard fun to the park, with the introduction of Happy Valley Farm, a brand-new themed area scheduled to open in Spring 2027.
The new land will celebrate the sunny side of Kentucky farm life, bringing together colourful theming, country bluegrass music and a collection of family-friendly attractions designed to appeal to younger visitors and families.
Located at Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky, Happy Valley Farm will feature eight family rides, including a mixture of reimagined attractions and the Flying Fox roller coaster, which made its debut in 2026.
What is Happy Valley Farm?
Happy Valley Farm is a new themed area inspired by traditional Kentucky farm life.
Visitors can expect classic red gingham decorations, playful barnyard theming and toe-tapping country bluegrass music throughout the area.
The park is giving several existing family attractions a new identity, with rides receiving fresh names, stories and themed experiences.
From friendly frogs hopping around a grassy pond to sheep racing around the barnyard, the new area aims to create a colourful environment where younger guests can enjoy their own theme park adventures.
Eight family attractions to discover
Happy Valley Farm will feature eight attractions, offering a variety of experiences for younger guests and families.
Here is a closer look at what visitors can expect.
Flying Fox
Making its debut in 2026, Flying Fox is the area’s headline roller coaster and Kentucky Kingdom’s first new roller coaster since 2019.
The attraction takes riders soaring above Happy Valley Farm, offering views across Louisville before plunging down through an underground tunnel.
Flutterfly
Visitors can join the butterflies on a colourful journey around the farm with Flutterfly, an attraction inspired by the arrival of spring and the butterflies taking flight.
Porch Swing
Formerly known as Rock-a-by Swing, Porch Swing gives younger guests the opportunity to enjoy a gentle swinging experience.
Riders climb above the colourful flowers as the giant porch swing gently rocks back and forth.
Harvest Swing
Previously known as Whirl Around Swing, Harvest Swing offers another spinning adventure.
Guests take to the air on swings, whirling around in a farm-inspired setting surrounded by the sights of the cornfields.
Friendly Frogs
Formerly Jump Around, Friendly Frogs invites younger visitors to hop and bounce around a grassy pond.
The gentle jumping attraction is designed to deliver plenty of smiles for little adventurers.
Pig Pen Escape
Previously known as Big Foot Trucks, Pig Pen Escape features tiny blue monster trucks taking visitors on a bumpy journey around the farm.
Guests head out to check on the pigs, only to discover that the animals have been getting up to plenty of mischief.
Loopy Lambs
Formerly Rowdy Racers, Loopy Lambs brings a friendly barnyard race to the new themed area.
Guests climb aboard woolly race cars and join the sheep for a fun-filled adventure around the track.
Country Cruisers
Previously known as Tin Lizzies, Country Cruisers takes guests on a journey in vintage-style cars loaded with farm-fresh vegetables.
The route travels through open fields, shady tree tunnels and sunny stretches of farmland.
Stampede Run brings the excitement
One of the attractions receiving a particularly interesting transformation is Stampede Run, previously known as Lightning Run.
The new farmyard storyline sees visitors recruited as farmhands as they attempt to round up animals that have escaped.
Guests will dodge charging bulls, smash through fences and launch over hay bales during an action-packed chase.
It gives the attraction a completely different identity while keeping the excitement of the ride experience.
A new chapter for Kentucky Kingdom
Happy Valley Farm represents an exciting new chapter for Kentucky Kingdom, giving the park a dedicated themed area aimed at families and younger visitors.
Rather than simply adding individual rides, the park is bringing together attractions under one overall theme, with new identities and storytelling helping to create a more immersive experience.
The inclusion of Flying Fox also gives the area an attraction capable of appealing to a wider range of visitors.
With eight family attractions, colourful decorations and a playful farmyard atmosphere, Happy Valley Farm looks set to become an important addition to the park’s family offering.
