Six Flags Magic Mountain is transforming a beloved part of its park into a refreshed, family-friendly destination with the introduction of Looney Tunes Land, set to open in summer 2026. The new themed land will replace the current kids’ area and bring classic Looney Tunes characters and worlds to life across four distinct zones designed for play, exploration, and character immersion.
A Reimagined Family Playground
Six Flags has announced that the new land will replace the existing Bugs Bunny World area, offering guests a vibrant, nostalgia-driven experience rooted in the iconic animation of the Chuck Jones era. The reimagined area will feature four immersive sections, each paying homage to a beloved Looney Tunes character:
- Bugs Bunny Play Park – This central hub replaces Speedy Gonzalez Hot Rods and Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party. It will offer themed play spaces and imaginative zones inspired by Bugs Bunny’s antics.
- Taz-mania – A tropical-themed area where guests can follow the Tasmanian Devil through lush landscapes, including a rethemed Whistlestop Train featuring Taz’s Tasmanian Train.
- Road Runner Ridge – Inspired by the deserts of the American Southwest, this zone highlights Wile E. Coyote’s never-ending chase of the Road Runner, with rock formations, ACME traps, and desert scenery.
- Camp Duck Amuck – A High Sierra-style camp hosted by Daffy Duck, where Taz’s Trucking Company becomes Daffy’s Forest Four-Wheelers, and the Looney Tunes Lodge is updated to a rustic cabin aesthetic.
Throughout the land, guests will encounter creative storytelling, new character interactions, themed signage and landscaping, and refreshed attractions that lean into the personalities of each character.
Construction & Experience
Work on Looney Tunes Land is scheduled to begin early January 2026, soon after the park’s seasonal Holiday in the Park event concludes. Six Flags plans to carry out the project in phases, allowing parts of the area to stay open while construction continues.
The transformation coincides with Magic Mountain’s 55th anniversary celebrations next year and marks a significant family-focused investment in the park’s future. Alongside interactive elements and thematic experiences, several existing rides — including long-running kids’ attractions — will be rethemed or replaced as part of the overhaul.
