Our Review
Storm Surge is at the heart of Thorpe Park’s thrilling rides. It’s an exciting water ride set in the Amity Cove area, taking guests to a place hit by a tidal wave. Here, they feel the power of nature like never before.
This ride uses big rafts to give you a rush. Riders start by going up a 64ft conveyor belt. Then, they zip down a 467ft water slide. It’s a mix of speed, height, and spins that’ll leave you buzzing.
Finally, you hit the water in a big, splashing moment. You may get wet. It’s the best way to end the Storm Surge adventure.
Storm Surge lasts about 5 minutes but is full of fun. From spinning to splashing, it’s packed with excitement. It’s an attraction at Thorpe Park you don’t want to miss.
Storm Surge fits right into the Amity Cove zone. It’s with other watery rides like Tidal Wave. Together, they make a thrilling post-apocalyptic world. A place where the sea rules and adventure never ends.

Personally I think it looks out of place and like a temporary ride. The space would have been better utilised with a couple of intense flat rides or even a family coaster.
Casey William Price I agree, it was an odd place to put it. For a second hand ride it’s not exactly thrilling, one splash and it’s over. Thorpe’s worst ride by far.
Totally ruined by the boat being half filled with water and no where to put your feet
I’ve only ridden it in its opening year before the extra effects were added and I thought it was absolutely awful 😂 A 1 hour queue to ride a literal water slide that goes slower than the queue itself
super slow operations followed by soaking wet feet from the 12 inches of water in the bottom of the boat
Alan Workman they was hovering the water out of every boat today 🤣
Alan Workman and they have a wet vac right by the boats. Would only take seconds to vac out
Kelly Drew when we went I was told it’s the ride unfortunately lol. I laughed just vac it out just lazy
Nick Nash yeah but a girl did slip when she got out of the boat then after that they was vacuum the boats so maybe that’s why as someone slipped xx
Nick Nash yeah that’s what they were using but like I said they only started doing it after a girl had slipped
Kelly Drew possibly it was also green and growing that’s probably how she slipped not good
It’s ok I guess
