Last Chance to Scream! Final Days of Halloween Events at UK Theme Parks

As October draws to a close and the final autumn chill sets in, the UK’s theme parks are nearing the end of their Halloween celebrations. For thrill-seekers and families alike, this is your last chance to experience the eerie magic, after-dark rides, and haunting entertainment that only comes once a year. The pumpkins are glowing, the fog is rolling in, and the screams are echoing across the parks for just a few more nights — so if you’ve been meaning to visit, now’s the time.

Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights 2025 continue until 2 November, bringing back some of the most talked-about scare mazes in the country. Lucifer’s Lair, roaming actors, and live horror shows make the park’s atmosphere more intense than ever, and nothing beats the rush of flying through the darkness on Stealth or The Swarm under flickering lights. Alton Towers’ Scarefest also runs into early November on select dates, transforming the park’s grand towers and coasters into a gothic playground of fear. The scare mazes, themed lighting, and live performances make it an unforgettable experience, especially as you tackle Nemesis Reborn or The Smiler after sunset.

For something a little lighter, Paultons Park’s Halloween Spooktacular runs until 3 November, offering plenty of family-friendly fun. The park’s new Ghostly Manor attraction has been a huge hit, combining humour, mild frights, and stunning effects. Over at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Journey to Hell continues until 1 November. This late-night event is one of the UK’s most immersive adult Halloween experiences, with themed zones, live actors, and unlimited rides adding to the tension. LEGOLAND Windsor keeps things playful with Brick or Treat, also running until 1 November, filled with colourful decorations, LEGO monsters, and gentle spooks perfect for younger visitors.

Families in search of something cheerful and not too frightening can still head to Drayton Manor, where Monsters & Magic Halloween continues until 2 November. The Trick or Treat Trail and Haunted Express offer fun by day, while the evening lake show provides a spectacular finale. Adventure Island’s Fright Fantastic runs until 31 October, adding a seasonal twist to Southend’s seaside rides, while Gulliver’s Resorts bring their bright, festival-style Fright Fiesta to families through early November. Even younger guests can get in on the fun at Sundown Adventureland’s Spooky Sundown, running until 2 November, where monster hunts and themed trails make for a perfect introduction to Halloween excitement.

There’s something special about these final nights of the season. The atmosphere feels different — more alive, more electric, as the parks give everything they have left before the season ends. Rides in the dark feel faster and more intense, fog and lighting effects reach their peak, and there’s a certain thrill in knowing these screams won’t echo again until next October. The combination of crisp air, flickering lights, and last-night energy gives these closing evenings an edge that’s hard to replicate at any other time of year.

If you’re heading out, plan your visit carefully and check the park websites before travelling. Some events are already selling out, and hours may vary. Arriving mid-afternoon allows time for daytime attractions before the real scares begin after dusk. Bring warm layers — October nights can get chilly — and prepare to stay until closing, because the atmosphere truly comes alive once darkness falls.

Whether you’re chasing pure terror at Thorpe Park, family-friendly frights at Paultons, or the eerie charm of Alton Towers at night, the final days of the UK’s Halloween theme park events are a chance to make one last haunting memory before winter arrives. The screams fade soon — so grab your tickets, hold your nerve, and make sure you don’t miss your last chance to scream before the season’s over.
