A new Scottish themed event is coming to Blackpool this weekend, kickstarting the Scot’s summer holidays with entertainment, traditional food and live performances celebrating Scotland’s most iconic hits.

Pleasure Beach Resort is set to host its Big Scottish Weekender, running from Saturday June 27-28, forming part of the park’s ongoing “Year of Festivals”, which continue to elevate the on-park entertainment available to guests of all ages.

The two day tartan takeover will host live performances over the weekend, including songs from some of Scotland’s most well known artists.

On Saturday, the entertainment begins with chart-topping hits performed by Lew(ish) Capaldi and will be followed by high-energy sets from the Funshine Pipers throughout the day.

Sunday sees the return of the Funshine Pipers, and also taking to the stage is The Gerry Cinna-Man Experience – the UK’s premier Gerry Cinnamon live act, who has previously travelled the country performing his classic songs.

Throughout the weekend, guests can also join in with other themed activities including Ceilidh dancing, bagpiper parades, as well as family activities like face painting and hair braiding.

The Scottish theme continues with the food on offer. Traditional favourites such as haggis, square sausages, battered mars bars, shortbread and Irn-Bru are available across the weekend.

Visitors can experience the entertainment for no additional cost – all of it is included in Pleasure Beach eTickets, including Nickelodeon Land tickets and Flex Passes.

Blackpool and Scotland have long shared a special bond, and this event is our way of celebrating that connection in the most exciting, and Scottish, way we know how. It’ll certainly be a belter.

“2026 has been about giving every guest a thrill that’s right for them, whether that’s deom the adrenaline of our rides or the thrill of hearing your favourite song performed live. We are making sure Pleasure Beach has something for everyone.

Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort

Guests can enjoy the entertainment, as well as all the rides with a Pleasure Beach eTicket. Unlimited riding starts from £36, or for those looking to just join the Scottish celebrations, Flex Passes can be purchased for £18.
