
Summer is here, and UK theme parks are gearing up for a busy July with extended opening schedules, special events and evening entertainment. Here’s everything happening at UK theme parks this week.
Lightwater Valley Reopens This Weekend
Lightwater Valley is currently closed during the week but will reopen for visitors on:
- Saturday 4 July
- Sunday 5 July
Guests can once again enjoy the park’s growing selection of family attractions, including the popular Spinning Racer family coaster.
Adventure Island Now Open Daily
With the summer season underway, Adventure Island is now open daily.
The extended opening schedule gives visitors even more opportunities to enjoy one of the UK’s largest free-admission amusement parks throughout the summer holidays.
Country Music Comes to Fantasy Island
Fantasy Island will be closed on:
- Monday 29 June
- Tuesday 30 June
Looking ahead to the weekend, the park will host a Country Music Day on:
- Saturday 4 July 2026
Guests can enjoy a full day of country-themed entertainment, including a live tribute performance by Sharlie Curtis as Shania Twain.
Late Night Riding and Fireworks at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is kicking off July with one of its most popular summer events.
On Saturday 4 July, guests can enjoy:
- Late night riding
- A spectacular fireworks display
- Extended opening hours
- An unforgettable summer atmosphere
It’s one of the best opportunities of the season to experience the park’s biggest rides after dark.
Ride Maintenance at Paultons Park
Visitors to Paultons Park should note that two attractions will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.
The following rides will be closed from:
- 29 June to 5 July 2026
Closed attractions:
- Pirate Ship
- Windy Castle Ride
The remainder of the park, including VALGARD: Realm of the Vikings and Peppa Pig World, remains open.
