LEGOLAND® Billund has officially unveiled a spectacular new addition to its famous Miniland, with more than one million LEGO® bricks used to recreate some of Copenhagen’s most recognisable waterfront landmarks.

The brand-new Port of Copenhagen area is now open to guests and expands the ever-growing Miniland, offering visitors another detailed slice of Denmark built entirely from LEGO bricks.

A New Copenhagen Waterfront Comes to Life

The impressive new display features several iconic locations and landmarks from Denmark’s capital, including:

  • Pakhuset in Engholmene
  • The Circle Bridge (Cirkelbroen)
  • Reffen Street Food
  • Lille Langebro
  • The Royal Yacht Dannebrog

The new harbour district has been carefully designed to capture the atmosphere of Copenhagen’s modern waterfront while blending seamlessly with the existing Miniland displays.

More Than Six Months of Work

Creating the new area was no small task. Behind the scenes, LEGOLAND Billund’s talented model builders spent more than six months designing and constructing the intricate display.

Jan Mouritzen, Head of the Model Department, celebrated the opening after months of hard work.

“It’s a huge release to stand here and finally see the LEGO buildings side by side in Miniland. Building with LEGO is fun, but as a model builder, the best thing is when guests can finally experience what you’ve built. That’s why it’s a big day today.”

His team meticulously recreated each landmark using over one million LEGO bricks, ensuring every detail reflects the real-life Copenhagen harbour.

Perfectly Positioned in Miniland

Visitors will find the new Port of Copenhagen area centrally located within Miniland, sitting alongside two of the attraction’s existing Copenhagen displays:

  • Amalienborg Palace
  • Nyhavn

The expansion creates an even larger representation of Denmark’s capital and gives guests even more incredible LEGO creations to discover during their visit.

A Must-See for Visitors

Miniland has always been one of the highlights of LEGOLAND Billund, showcasing famous cities, buildings and landmarks from around the world in stunning LEGO form. The addition of Copenhagen’s harbour continues that tradition while celebrating some of Denmark’s newest and most recognisable architecture.

Whether you’re a LEGO enthusiast or simply visiting the park for the day, the new Port of Copenhagen display is set to become one of Miniland’s standout attractions.
