The cameras are rolling for a special moment: Movie Park Germany has reached a new milestone with the arrival of its 40-millionth guest.
With a special surprise—the park mascots S.A.M. and S.I.A., Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, and plenty of confetti—a family from Fahrdorf near Schleswig was given a festive welcome at Movie Park, and the moment was celebrated in style.
Since its opening in 1996, Germany’s largest film and theme park has been delighting its guests with action-packed film-themed attractions, spectacular shows, and numerous events—and is now writing another chapter in its success story.
For us, 40 million guests are far more than just a number—they represent 40 million personal experiences, memories, and the trust our visitors have placed in us over many years.
Manuel Prossotowicz, Director of Marketing & Sales
This moment fills us with great pride and shows that our commitment to continually offering our guests new, cinematic experiences is appreciated. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has been part of our story and has accompanied us on this journey.
What started as a summer family outing on the way home from vacation turned into a plot twist straight out of a blockbuster: When the family from Fahrdorf entered the park, they did not know what a special surprise awaited them.
As the 40-millionth guests in the history of Movie Park Germany, they received an exclusive surprise gift to commemorate this special day, including lunch for the whole family at the Trattoria Hollywood restaurant, Speedy Passes as well as Platinum Season Passes for the current season and the upcoming 2027 season.
In addition, each family member was allowed to shop like a VIP at the Department Store and put together their own merchandise package. As an added highlight, the family can look forward to a weekend stay with overnight accommodations at the Tropical Islands Resort on a date of their choice.
To once again clearly emphasize its social responsibility as a family amusement park, Movie Park is not only supporting charitable causes during its anniversary season but is also using the 40-million milestone as an opportunity to offer many more families and children “movie-worthy” support in their everyday lives. “We are donating a total of 40,000 euros to charitable projects to symbolically celebrate this day and make a statement as a family amusement park,” explains PR & Communications Leader Ann-Katrin Dölken, who also leads the Social Impact division at Movie Park.
The donations are made through the Four Wings Foundation, which was established within the Parques Reunidos park group. €10,000 each will go to the charitable organizations SOS Children’s Villages Essen, the PRO Kinderklinik e.V. support association at Marienhospital in Bottrop, and the Manuel Neuer Kids Foundation with its MANUS facilities in Gelsenkirchen and Bottrop—all of which dedicate their projects and funding to helping socially disadvantaged or seriously ill children.
An additional €10,000 will remain directly with the Four Wings Foundation to support humanitarian and charitable initiatives. In the future, the foundation will be further expanded in collaboration with Movie Park and will take on an additional family-oriented focus that aligns with the park’s vision. To this end, Movie Park Germany will initiate cooperations with local associations and organizations, thereby providing new impulses.
More information on this will follow soon.
