Halloween may be over, but there is still plenty happening at UK theme parks as the 2026 season begins to wind down. This week sees the final days of some Halloween events, the return of seasonal fireworks and the first signs of Christmas arriving at several attractions.
Alton Towers is preparing for its spectacular Fireworks event, while Paultons Park is getting ready to welcome visitors for its reduced-rate November weekends. Other parks are beginning their winter shutdowns, meaning visitors should check opening dates carefully before travelling.
Here is what’s happening at UK theme parks from Monday 2 November to Sunday 8 November 2026.
Alton Towers Fireworks Spectacular Returns
One of the biggest events in the UK theme park calendar takes place this week as Alton Towers Resort prepares to host its annual Fireworks Spectacular.
Running from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November, this year’s show is titled Across the Altonverse and promises an immersive journey through the extraordinary worlds, stories and legends of Alton Towers.
The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 7pm, with the show lasting approximately 25–30 minutes.
Visitors can enjoy selected rides and attractions before the spectacular evening finale, making this a major opportunity to experience Alton Towers before the main theme park season comes to an end.
Advance booking is essential, according to the resort, so visitors should secure tickets before travelling.

However, the festive season is already on the horizon.
Chessington’s Winter’s Tail is scheduled to begin on 21 November, bringing Christmas entertainment and seasonal experiences to the resort.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Enters Its Final Weeks
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is approaching the end of its 2026 operating season, although the park is scheduled to remain open on selected dates during November.
The park’s published seasonal information indicates that its 2026 season runs until 28 November.
Visitors hoping to enjoy the Lancashire seaside attraction before its winter closure should check the official opening calendar carefully, as the park does not operate every day during the quieter autumn period.
With the main Halloween season finished, it is a good opportunity to enjoy some of the park’s famous rollercoasters before the end of the season.
