Blackgang Chine are thrilled to announce the arrival of Extinction in time to celebrate there 180th Anniversary.
The park reopen there gates on March 25th where guests will have the chance to experience there hair-raising pendulum swing that reaches heights of 18 meters, almost double the height of the Smuggler!
The location of Extinction will give guests an unforgettable experience with it’s views of the back of the Isle of Wight.
The ride throws its passengers, full of anticipation, through full 360-degree vertical rotations, creating the sensation that you’re about to be catapulted off Blackgang’s cliffs and into the sea.
“This is not just any ride – it’s a testament to Blackgang Chine’s ability to innovate and provide visitors with unforgettable experiences,” said Dominic Wray, Parks Director at Blackgang Chine. “Our rich and long heritage is a result of our commitment to pushing boundaries and staying ahead of the curve. This is especially vital in the current climate where we have a cost-of-living crisis in the UK and the travel industry is still in a period of recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Extinction was designed and built by Zamperla a leading manufacturer of amusement rides based in Italy.
