Guests visiting Alton Towers today may notice that the resort’s Skyride is currently closed due to the exceptionally high temperatures affecting the UK.
The popular transport attraction, which helps visitors travel between key areas of the park, has been taken out of operation as temperatures soar across Staffordshire. While the closure may increase walking times around the resort, the majority of rides and attractions remain available to guests.
Visitors are advised to stay hydrated, make use of shaded areas where possible, and check the Alton Towers app for the latest ride availability updates throughout the day.
There is currently no indication of when the Skyride will reopen, with operations expected to depend on weather conditions and safety requirements.
