Clacton Pier has announced a brand-new Blue Light Weekend, giving Blue Light Card holders and their guests the chance to enjoy a day out for half the usual price.
The special weekend will take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026, with Clacton Pier offering a discounted Big Day Out Band to Blue Light Card holders.
The offer will see the price reduced from the normal £30 to just £15 per person.
Blue Light Card holders can bring up to three guests with them, with each person able to purchase a £15 Big Day Out Band. The Blue Light Card holder must be present with their guests.
The offer can also be used on both days, meaning visitors can attend on Saturday and return on Sunday with a different group of guests.
Who is eligible?
The Blue Light Card scheme covers a wide range of people working to support communities across the UK.
Clacton Pier says the special weekend is open to active and retired NHS staff, emergency service workers, social care workers, teachers and members of the armed forces who hold a Blue Light Card.
The attraction says the weekend is its first-ever exclusive deal weekend open to all Blue Light Card holders.
Clacton Pier General Manager Harry Peek said the attraction wanted to thank those who work hard looking after the community and give them the opportunity to enjoy some quality time with family and friends.
The Blue Light Weekend was originally announced as part of Clacton Pier’s 2026 events programme, following feedback from visitors and building on previous Armed Forces and Emergency Services weekends.
More events coming to Clacton Pier
The Blue Light Weekend is just one of several events planned at Clacton Pier during September and October.
The attraction will also host its Oktoberfest from 19 September, followed by its new Clacton FEAR! Halloween event and the annual Halloween Festival.
The pier’s autumn programme will eventually lead into its Christmas celebrations later in the year.
For Blue Light Card holders looking for a discounted day out, the new September weekend could provide a chance to enjoy the rides and attractions at Clacton Pier for considerably less than the usual price.
