Europa-Park Named the Best Theme Park Worldwide for the Eleventh Time

The “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” roller coaster secured its place in the top 10 amongst nearly 6,000 steel roller coasters worldwide

At the weekend, Europa-Park was honoured for the eleventh time with the industry’s highest accolade, the ‘Golden Ticket Award’, as the ‘World’s Best Theme Park’. The family-owned company from Baden in Germany once again beat renowned competitors such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

The awards from the renowned trade magazine Amusement Today were presented this year at the COTALAND theme park in Austin. Frederik Mack, Director of HR & Organisation, accepted the award in person: “Particularly in the USA, where the theme park industry has always set the highest standards, it is a special honour to be recognised as a German theme park. I have felt a close connection to the USA and its theme park industry for many years and am delighted to accept this award on behalf of our family.

The jury particularly praised the wide variety of attractions on offer, the professional operation at the highest level and the successful combination of tradition and innovation. The wide range of entertainment, excellent gastronomy and high-quality accommodation offered by Germany’s largest theme park were also highly regarded.

In addition, Europa-Park was delighted to receive further top rankings: Rulantica water world ranked fourth amongst thousands of water parks worldwide, whilst the Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac rollercoaster secured its place in the top 10 amongst nearly 6,000 steel coasters worldwide.

Roland Mack, owner of Europa-Park, commented: “We are immensely proud to have been honoured with the Golden Ticket Award for the Best Theme Park Worldwide! It really is the ultimate endorsement of our values: Quality, perfection and a genuine passion for our guests. However, this is not a reason for us to become complacent; rather, it is as an incentive. As a family-run business, we think in terms of generations. We will continue to drive Europa-Park forward with new ideas, new attractions and an unwavering commitment to continuous development. We are truly grateful to our guests from all over the world – they are our greatest source of inspiration.

The park has secured further awards amidst a very competitive landscape in the leisure industry: Europa-Park’s parent company, MACK Rides, received awards for the Mission Bermudes Rocking Boat (Futuroscope, 2nd place for Best Water Ride), Ride to Happiness (Plopsaland Belgium, 5th place for Best Steel Coaster) and Stardust Racers (Epic Universe, 10th place for Best Steel Coaster). Europa-Park ranked fourth in the world in the Most Beautiful Park category, whilst it was named the best theme park in Europe in the Best Guest Experience category.
