ArieForce One has officially found its new home, with Six Flags Magic Mountain in California confirmed as the destination for the popular Rocky Mountain Construction roller coaster.
The mystery surrounding the future of ArieForce One has finally been solved. Following weeks of speculation among roller coaster enthusiasts, Six Flags Magic Mountain has confirmed that the former Fun Spot America Atlanta attraction will be relocated to its California theme park.
The announcement marks an exciting new chapter for the much-loved coaster, which became a favourite among thrill-seekers during its time in Georgia.
ArieForce One is heading to Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags Magic Mountain Park President Brian Oerding confirmed the news as the park outlined its plans for a major multi-year transformation.
The addition of ArieForce One will form part of the park’s wider investment programme, which is expected to introduce new attractions, improve guest facilities and enhance the overall visitor experience.
Oerding also hinted that the arrival of ArieForce One is just one part of something much bigger planned for the California destination.
The announcement follows Six Flags’ acquisition of the roller coaster in September 2026, when the company confirmed that it had purchased the attraction but kept its new destination under wraps.
At the time, Six Flags revealed that the coaster would return at one of its parks during the 2028 or 2029 operating seasons.
Now, Magic Mountain has been revealed as its new home, with a 2028 debut being targeted.
What makes ArieForce One so special?
Originally located at Fun Spot America Atlanta in Fayetteville, Georgia, ArieForce One opened in March 2023 and quickly developed a reputation as one of the standout roller coasters in the United States.
Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC), the steel roller coaster is known for its intense layout, powerful airtime moments and inversions.
The attraction features a 154-foot lift hill, a 146-foot first drop and reaches speeds of up to 64mph.
Its layout includes four inversions, including a spectacular zero-gravity stall, giving riders an experience packed with twists, turns and airtime.
ArieForce One became an important attraction for Fun Spot America Atlanta, attracting roller coaster enthusiasts who travelled to Georgia specifically to experience the ride.
Its future became uncertain following the permanent closure of Fun Spot America Atlanta in August 2026.
Fortunately for coaster fans, Six Flags stepped in to acquire the attraction, ensuring that its story would continue elsewhere.
Part of a bigger transformation at Magic Mountain
ArieForce One will join an already impressive collection of roller coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain, a destination widely recognised for its extensive thrill ride line-up.
The park is already preparing for the arrival of Thrill Glider in 2027, described as a first-of-its-kind attraction.
Other planned improvements include the transformation of Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles, a reimagining of Looney Tunes Land, additional family attractions, enhanced entertainment and improvements to the park’s infrastructure.
The addition of ArieForce One will provide another major thrill attraction as Magic Mountain continues to develop its offering over the coming years.
Park officials have also suggested that further details about the wider transformation will be revealed in early 2027.
When will ArieForce One open at Six Flags Magic Mountain?
Although the new location has now been confirmed, visitors will have to wait before they can experience ArieForce One in California.
Six Flags is targeting a 2028 opening for the relocated coaster, although an exact opening date has not yet been announced.
The precise location within Six Flags Magic Mountain has also yet to be revealed.
Relocating a major roller coaster is a significant engineering project, involving the dismantling, transportation and reconstruction of the attraction.
Further information about the construction process, ride location and opening plans is expected as the project progresses.
A new chapter for a much-loved roller coaster
For ArieForce One, the move to California represents a remarkable second chance.
After opening at Fun Spot America Atlanta in 2023, the coaster quickly established itself as a must-ride attraction for enthusiasts. Its closure alongside the Georgia park left many wondering whether it would ever operate again.
Now, with Six Flags Magic Mountain confirmed as its new home, fans can look forward to experiencing the attraction once more.
And with Magic Mountain promising an even bigger transformation in the years ahead, ArieForce One could be just the beginning of an exciting period for the California theme park.
