Alton Towers has just one full-day closure currently listed for September 2026:
- Sunday 6th September
The resort is scheduled to close on 6th September due to a private event.
This means Alton Towers remains open on the other September dates currently scheduled for operation, including the later September dates when the resort’s 2026 Scarefest season begins.
Why Are Merlin Theme Parks Closed in September?
September is traditionally a quieter period for UK theme parks as the summer school holidays come to an end.
