Six Flags Acquires ArieForce One and Confirms Roller Coaster Will Return in 2028 or 2029

Roller coaster fans have been given some major news following the closure of Fun Spot America Atlanta, with Six Flags confirming that it has acquired the much-loved ArieForce One roller coaster.

The Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) coaster will return at a Six Flags theme park during the 2028 or 2029 operating seasons, although the company has not yet revealed which park will become its new home.

The announcement comes after months of speculation about the future of ArieForce One following the permanent closure of Fun Spot America Atlanta on August 2, 2026.

ArieForce One Has a New Future

ArieForce One opened at Fun Spot America Atlanta in 2023 and quickly developed a huge following among roller coaster enthusiasts.

Six Flags has now confirmed that the attraction has been acquired and will be relocated to one of its parks.

The exact destination is currently being kept secret, with Six Flags saying that further details about the attraction’s future location, construction timeline and reopening plans will be announced at a later date.

A Major RMC Roller Coaster

ArieForce One is manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction and stands 154 feet tall, with a 146-foot first drop and a top speed of 64 mph.

The ride features approximately 3,400 feet of track and four inversions.

Among its standout elements are the world’s largest zero-gravity stall, a Raven Truss Dive and an outward-banked airtime hill, alongside multiple intense negative-G airtime moments.

These features helped ArieForce One establish itself as one of the most highly regarded modern steel roller coasters.

Its relatively short time at Fun Spot America Atlanta has made the announcement particularly significant for enthusiasts, as the ride will now have the opportunity to operate for many more years at another park.

When Will ArieForce One Reopen?

Six Flags has confirmed that ArieForce One is planned to debut at its new home during the 2028-2029 seasons.
