A brand-new attraction is set to make its worldwide debut at Efteling, with the theme park preparing to welcome Ravenring, the world’s first WaveCatcher attraction.
Developed in close collaboration with Efteling, Ravenring will be the first installation of a new ride concept combining dynamic movement, rider interaction and a sensation of flight.
The attraction will open in the renewed Raveleijn area of the Dutch theme park and will take inspiration from the world of Raveleijn.
What is Ravenring?
Ravenring will feature 18 suspended gondolas capable of carrying 36 riders, with guests able to influence their own ride experience through interactive technology.
The attraction uses a system called Swingfluencer, allowing riders to play an active role in the movement of their gondola.
This means every ride could feel slightly different, depending on how guests interact with the attraction.
The gondolas will swing by up to 90 degrees, creating a dynamic ride experience designed to give riders a genuine sensation of flight.
Ravenring ride experience
The WaveCatcher concept is designed to combine the movement of the ride itself with participation from its riders.
Ravenring will reach speeds of up to 30 km/h, while the suspended gondolas will move dynamically throughout the experience.
The attraction has also been designed with accessibility in mind, featuring ground-level boarding and a minimum rider height requirement of just 1 metre.

A new chapter for Raveleijn
Ravenring will form part of the renewed Raveleijn area at Efteling, bringing a new attraction to an area already closely connected with the park’s storytelling.
The combination of suspended gondolas, interactive movement and the Raveleijn theme is intended to create an attraction where guests aren’t simply passengers — they can influence how their own ride unfolds.
With the first WaveCatcher now ready to welcome guests, Ravenring will give Efteling visitors the opportunity to experience a completely new type of attraction when it opens.
When does Ravenring open?
Ravenring is scheduled to open at Efteling on 1 December 2026.
The opening will mark the worldwide debut of the WaveCatcher attraction concept, making Ravenring a particularly interesting new addition for theme park enthusiasts looking to experience something that cannot currently be found anywhere else.
UK theme park fans visiting Efteling later this year will therefore have the opportunity to be among the first riders to experience the new attraction.
