Outdoor rides at Clacton Pier are reopening this weekend, kicking off the 2026 season with a special half-price offer for visitors during the February school half term.
After being closed for around three-and-a-half months over the winter, the pier’s outdoor attractions have undergone detailed safety inspections and enhancements in preparation for the new season. The landmark seaside destination is launching its first seasonal event — February Frenzy — on Saturday 14 February, running through 22 February.
Our technical services staff have been hard at it since mid-November carrying out the various tasks required for the first event of 2026.
General Manager Harry Peek
Obviously, the weather can have a part to play at this time of the year but we are hopeful it will be kind to us – and if not, we have plenty of attractions under cover for families to enjoy.
To celebrate the reopening, the pier is offering half-price ride deals site-wide during the event. A Big Day Out Band, which normally costs £30, has been reduced to just £15 for a limited time — giving guests access to unlimited rides (excluding Go-Karts), 18 holes of adventure golf, a 4D Jurassic Pier experience, a ride on The Wheel, five video game credits and 50 arcade prize tickets.
Visitors who prefer to pay per ride can benefit from half-price rides on Funcard credits throughout the event. The discounted wristband can also be upgraded to an annual pass with further value for regular visitors.
Families are advised to book online in advance, as daily capacity is limited — and the offer applies to any one day during the February Frenzy period.
