Just one year after opening its gates, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort has celebrated a major milestone as the resort marked its first anniversary on 5 July 2026 with a spectacular birthday celebration.
The celebrations featured colourful entertainment, live performances and an impressive 2.7-metre-tall birthday cake built entirely from LEGO bricks, giving guests a memorable way to celebrate the resort’s successful first year.
A Record-Breaking First Year
Since opening in July 2025, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort has welcomed more than two million visitors, making it the fastest LEGOLAND Resort in the world to reach the milestone and recording the highest first-year guest growth of any LEGOLAND destination.
Designed specifically for families with children aged 2 to 12, the resort has quickly become one of China’s most popular family attractions.
