The popular Land of Lights event is returning to Gulliver’s resorts this winter, with the 2026 event promising spectacular illuminated trails, giant lantern displays and magical after-dark experiences.
For those planning a visit to Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham, Super Early Bird tickets go on sale today, Tuesday 1 September 2026, with prices starting from just £10 for a limited time.
A magical night at Gulliver’s Valley
Land of Lights will transform Gulliver’s Valley into a colourful world of lights and lanterns, with visitors able to explore a spectacular outdoor trail after dark.
The event features larger-than-life lantern displays, magical photo opportunities and glowing scenes, making it an evening attraction aimed at visitors of all ages.
There will also be food, drinks and tasty treats available during the experience, while parking is free. The event is also advertised as being dog-friendly on selected nights.
The trail at Rotherham is on firm ground and is mostly flat, with only slight inclines. Accessible toilets are also available.
How long does Land of Lights take?
Visitors can expect to spend around 90 minutes leisurely making their way around the approximately one-mile trail, although the exact duration will depend on walking pace and how much time guests spend enjoying the displays, entertainment and refreshments.
Land of Lights is a standalone special event and is not included with Gulliver’s Annual Passport perks.

The 2026 Land of Lights event isn’t limited to Rotherham. The festival is returning across three Gulliver’s locations this winter — Rotherham, Warrington and Milton Keynes.
Gulliver’s says the 2026 festival will be its biggest year yet, following the success of previous events, with new lantern displays and glowing dreamworlds planned across the three locations.
