Alton Towers Extends Summer Opening Hours Until 7pm This August

Visitors planning a trip to Alton Towers Resort later this summer will have even more time to enjoy the UK’s biggest theme park, after it was announced today that opening hours have been extended.

The resort has confirmed that from 14th August to 31st August, the theme park will now remain open until 7:00pm, giving guests an extra hour to experience more rides, attractions and entertainment during the busy summer holiday period.

The extended hours mean visitors will have even more opportunities to enjoy some of the park’s biggest attractions, including Nemesis Reborn, Wicker Man, The Smiler, Oblivion, Rita, Galactica, TH13TEEN, and the family-friendly attractions across CBeebies Land and the World of David Walliams.

For many guests, the extra hour could make a big difference, allowing time for another ride on a favourite coaster, a more relaxed lunch break, or simply the chance to explore more of the resort without feeling rushed.

A Welcome Boost for Summer Visitors

The extension comes during one of the busiest periods of the year, with thousands of families expected to visit throughout the school summer holidays.

Longer opening hours are often welcomed by guests, particularly during peak season when queue times can increase throughout the day. An extra hour of operation provides more flexibility and gives visitors greater value from their day at the resort.
