Europa-Park Reveals Three New Family Attractions Coming in 2027

Europa-Park has revealed plans for three new family attractions coming to the German theme park in 2027, including a huge new Wild Swing ride.

The popular resort in Rust is already looking ahead to next season, with three new attractions planned across different themed areas of the park.

The new additions will focus heavily on family entertainment, while also giving guests some new experiences to enjoy alongside Europa-Park’s impressive collection of rollercoasters and thrill rides.

Europa-Park says that family fun and unforgettable experiences will be particularly important during the 2027 season.

Three new attractions planned

The 2027 additions will be spread across the Italy, Iceland and Portugal areas of Europa-Park.

One of the biggest additions will be a new Wild Swing XL in the Portuguese area.

The large swinging attraction is expected to provide plenty of airtime and movement as it takes riders high above the ground, offering a new thrill for families looking for something a little more adventurous.

The attraction will be located around the Atlantica SuperSplash area and is expected to become one of the more noticeable additions to the park’s skyline.

Wild Swing attractions have become increasingly popular at European theme parks, offering a ride experience somewhere between a family attraction and a more intense thrill ride.

For Europa-Park, the new attraction should provide another option for families who want something more exciting without necessarily stepping up to one of the park’s major rollercoasters.

A new observation attraction for Iceland

The Icelandic themed area is also set to receive a new attraction in 2027.

A new interactive observation tower is planned for the area, giving visitors the opportunity to rise above the park and enjoy views of the surrounding themed land.

The attraction is expected to allow guests to control their own experience as they take in views across the Icelandic section.

Its location will put it close to some of Europa-Park’s major attractions, including WODAN – Timburcoaster and the blue fire Megacoaster.

That should make the new tower an interesting addition to an already busy part of the park.

Piccolo Mondo is getting a major makeover

The third project will see one of Europa-Park’s existing family attractions receive a significant refurbishment.

The Italian themed area’s Piccolo Mondo will be transformed into Enzo’s Piccolo Mondo for 2027.

The attraction has been part of Europa-Park’s family offering for many years and will receive refreshed scenes and theming as part of the project.

Rather than simply removing the existing ride, Europa-Park is giving it a new lease of life while retaining the existing ride system.

The refurbishment is another example of Europa-Park’s approach to maintaining and updating some of its older attractions rather than constantly replacing them with entirely new rides.

The character Enzo is also expected to play an important role in the refreshed attraction.

Another busy year ahead for Europa-Park

The three new attractions are not the only major developments taking place at Europa-Park.

The park has also confirmed that Euro-Mir will make its final runs during the 2026/27 winter season, bringing an end to more than 30 years of operation.

A new space-themed area is planned for the site, including a new family rollercoaster from MACK Rides. That larger project is expected to open by 2028.

This means Europa-Park is effectively working on several generations of attractions at once — with smaller family additions arriving for 2027 while work continues towards the larger transformation of the former Euro-Mir area.

Europa-Park continues to invest in families

The 2027 plans show that Europa-Park isn’t focusing solely on major rollercoasters.

The combination of a new Wild Swing, observation attraction and refreshed dark ride gives families several different experiences to look forward to.

That variety is particularly important for a park such as Europa-Park, which attracts visitors of all ages and offers more than 100 attractions.

With the park already looking ahead to its 2027 season, there is plenty for theme park fans to keep an eye on over the coming months.

Europa-Park’s 2027 season is shaping up to be another interesting one — and these three family attractions could be just the beginning.
