Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach Forced to Turn Away Guests During Packed Locals Weekend

Visitors hoping to enjoy a sunny day at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach were met with disappointment today after the park announced it would no longer accept walk-up admissions due to overwhelming demand during its popular Locals Weekend event.

In a statement shared on social media, the seaside amusement park confirmed that attendance had exceeded all expectations, forcing management to restrict entry to guests with prepaid online tickets only.

The park said:

“Due to demand which has exceeded all of our expectations today, we are NOT accepting walk up admissions. Any further admissions for today are prepaid online orders ONLY.”

The sudden announcement came as huge crowds descended on the Norfolk coast to take advantage of the warm weather and special Locals Weekend offers, with many guests reportedly being turned away at the entrance gates.

Pleasure Beach acknowledged the frustration felt by some visitors, adding:

“We understand many people have been disappointed being turned away at the gate and we will be putting a notice out this evening with more information!”

Despite the disruption, the park also highlighted the positive atmosphere across the resort, praising the turnout and the busy seaside atmosphere.

“On a positive note it’s incredible to see the park filled with people enjoying the sunshine on the coast today.”

Guests planning to visit over the remainder of the weekend are strongly advised to book online in advance before travelling to avoid disappointment.
