Legendary Noughties DJ Announced as Headline act for Pleasure Beach Resort’s Summer Event

A chart-topping DJ is set to perform in Blackpool as part of Pleasure Beach Resort’s end of summer celebrations, including fireworks, extending opening hours and live entertainment.   

Ultrabeat, known for producing some of the most popular and era-defining clubland anthems, will headline Pleasure Beach’s Late Night Beats event on Saturday August 29. 

The electronic dance DJ, who’s real name is Chris Henry, found success with his 2003 hit, ‘Pretty Green Eyes’, which spent 15 weeks in the UK charts, and peaked at number two. 

Since then, he has become known for his energetic sets across Europe, finding further chart success with tracks like ‘Elysium’ and ‘Feelin Fine’ – the video for which was filmed in Blackpool, making the weekend’s show a return to the seaside town.  

Alongside the headline performance, Pleasure Beach is seeing out summer by extending its opening hours to 10am-10pm, giving visitors up to 12 hours inside the park. 

In addition, guests can also expect live performances from the park’s entertainment team, interactions with roaming characters and a firework display, in celebration of the park’s final Saturday of the summer. 

There’s no extra cost to enjoy his hour-long set – it’s included with all ticket types including Nickelodeon Land tickets and Flex Passes, and can be viewed from inside the park from 9pm.  

This event forms part of Pleasure Beach’s ‘Year of Festivals’, a commitment made to expand its on-park entertainment with an increased offering of music-led events throughout the season.
