Construction of Serpent’s Curse, Paultons Park’s highly anticipated new water coaster, continues to make exciting progress, with the latest construction update revealing more details about the attraction’s theming, splash zone and station building.
Opening in 2027, Serpent’s Curse will become a major addition to Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, combining the thrills of a roller coaster with a spectacular water ride experience.
Serpent’s Curse to Become the UK’s First Water Coaster
When Serpent’s Curse opens in 2027, it is set to become the UK’s first water coaster.
The custom-built attraction from MACK Rides will combine the movement and excitement of a roller coaster with a substantial water ride element, including a dramatic plunge into the water.
The ride is being developed as part of the continuing expansion of Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, which opened at Paultons Park in May 2026.
The new attraction is expected to be one of the park’s major additions for 2027, building on the Viking-themed land’s existing rides and immersive surroundings.
More Construction Updates to Come
With the station building, theming and splash zone progressing, there is still plenty to look forward to as Serpent’s Curse moves towards completion.
The coming months should reveal more of the finished attraction as the remaining theming, water features and surrounding areas are completed.
