As June continues, UK theme parks are preparing for the busy summer season while several parks remain on reduced operating schedules. This week sees the return of a classic coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach alongside a number of maintenance closures and midweek shutdowns.

Grand National Now Open at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Great news for coaster enthusiasts as Blackpool Pleasure Beach has officially reopened Grand National.

The historic wooden roller coaster is one of the UK’s most iconic attractions and has welcomed guests back following its recent closure.

Its return means visitors can once again experience one of the few remaining Möbius loop roller coasters in the world, adding another must-ride attraction to Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s lineup.

Farmyard Flyer Closed for Maintenance at Paultons Park

Visitors to Paultons Park should note that Farmyard Flyer will be closed for maintenance from:

  • 15 June to 28 June 2026

The remainder of the park, including the recently opened VALGARD: Realm of the Vikings, remains open to guests.

Adventure Island Open Weekends Only

Adventure Island continues to operate on a weekends-only schedule during June.

Lightwater Valley Open Weekends Only

Lightwater Valley is also operating weekends only this month.

Visitors can still enjoy the park’s newest attraction, Spinning Racer, alongside the rest of its family-focused lineup.

Fantasy Island Closed Early Week

Fantasy Island will be closed on:

  • Monday 15 June
  • Tuesday 16 June

The park is expected to reopen later in the week.

Drayton Manor Closed on Tuesday

Drayton Manor Resort will be closed on:

  • Tuesday 16 June 2026

Guests planning a visit should take the closure into account before travelling.
