Visitors to Paultons Park should be aware that Vild Swing, one of the headline attractions in the new Valgard: Realm of the Vikings area, will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 22 June to 25 June 2026.
The family thrill ride, which opened as part of the park’s £12 million Viking-themed expansion in May 2026, has quickly become a popular addition to the Hampshire theme park. Vild Swing is the UK’s first ART Engineering Wild Swing ride and sends riders soaring up to 12 metres into the air in a series of exhilarating swings.
While the attraction is unavailable, guests can still enjoy the rest of the Valgard area, including the thrilling Drakon roller coaster and Raven, the reimagined version of Cobra. The temporary closure is expected to allow park engineers to carry out routine maintenance work and ensure the ride continues operating safely and reliably throughout the busy summer season.
Vild Swing is currently scheduled to reopen on 26 June 2026, subject to the completion of maintenance work.
Guests planning a visit during this period are advised to check the latest ride availability information before travelling.
Note: Ride availability can change at any time. Check the official park website before your visit for the latest updates on closures and ride status
