Every UK Theme Park Taking Part in the Great British Summer Savings Scheme

Families looking to enjoy a day out for less this summer are in luck, with many of the UK’s biggest theme parks taking part in the Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme.

Running until 1 September 2026, the initiative temporarily reduces VAT on eligible attraction tickets, helping attractions lower admission prices and making family days out more affordable during the school holidays.

Here’s every major UK theme park currently taking part.

Alton Towers Resort

Alton Towers Resort is offering reduced admission prices through the scheme, helping families save on one of the UK’s most popular theme park destinations.

Guests can save more than £19 on a family of four compared with standard pricing, while selected short breaks are also available from £87 per person throughout the summer. Visitors can also enjoy the popular Minecraft Experience, alongside extended opening hours on selected dates.

Thorpe Park Resort

Thrill-seekers can also take advantage of lower ticket prices at Thorpe Park Resort.

Home to iconic roller coasters including Hyperia, Stealth, Saw – The Ride and The Swarm, the Surrey theme park is participating in the Great British Summer Savings scheme, making a summer visit even better value.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Chessington World of Adventures has joined the initiative, allowing families to save on a day packed with rides, animals and SEA LIFE attractions.

The park continues to offer a great all-round family experience, and the Summer Savings promotion makes it even more affordable during the school holidays.

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is also participating in the scheme, with reduced ticket prices available for visitors throughout the promotion.

Packed with family attractions, LEGO-themed adventures and live entertainment, it’s one of the UK’s top destinations for younger children.

Paultons Park

Paultons Park has confirmed it is taking part in the Great British Summer Savings scheme.

The Hampshire theme park says a family of four can save more than £20, making it the perfect opportunity to experience favourites including Peppa Pig World and the park’s newest themed area, Valgard: Realm of the Vikings.

Drayton Manor Resort

Drayton Manor is offering discounted admission as part of the initiative, helping families save on summer visits.

Guests can book day tickets from £25.80, down from £27.50, making it a great time to enjoy attractions including Thomas Land, Adventure Cove, Frontier Falls and the park’s Viking-themed area.

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is taking part in the Great British Summer Savings scheme, giving families the chance to save on one of the UK’s most popular family attractions this summer.

Visitors can enjoy reduced admission prices while exploring more than 55 rides, attractions and live shows, including the park’s newest experiences, favourite LEGO-themed lands and the popular LEGO Festival. With the Summer Savings discount available until 1 September 2026, it’s a great opportunity for families to enjoy a fun-filled day out for less.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is among the parks offering some of the biggest savings through the scheme.

According to published figures, a family of four could save up to £124, depending on the tickets purchased, making it one of the best-value offers available this summer.

Lightwater Valley

Lightwater Valley has also joined the Great British Summer Savings scheme.

Visitors can enjoy reduced admission prices throughout the promotion, making it easier for families to experience the North Yorkshire park’s collection of family rides, attractions and entertainment.

Adventure Island

Adventure Island in Southend-on-Sea is another participating attraction.

The free-entry amusement park is offering discounted ride wristbands during the promotion, helping visitors enjoy more than 30 rides for less throughout the summer holidays.

Fantasy Island

Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells is also taking part in the scheme.

Guests can save on selected wristbands, making it an excellent opportunity to experience the park’s mix of family attractions and high-thrill roller coasters while keeping costs down.

Wicksteed Park

Wicksteed Park has reduced admission prices as part of the Great British Summer Savings initiative.

Families visiting before 1 September 2026 can take advantage of lower online prices while enjoying one of the UK’s oldest amusement parks.

What Is the Great British Summer Savings Scheme?

The Government introduced the Great British Summer Savings scheme to help families enjoy more affordable days out during the summer holidays.

Between 25 June and 1 September 2026, participating attractions can reduce VAT from 20% to 5%, allowing them to pass those savings directly on to visitors through lower ticket prices. The initiative also includes discounts on children’s meals at participating restaurants and selected family entertainment venues.

With many of the UK’s leading theme parks taking part, there’s never been a better time to plan a summer adventure.
