Tomorrow marks a huge milestone for Crealy Theme Park & Resort as Rotor, the South West’s first inverted flat ride, officially opens to guests.
The new attraction is one of the biggest investments in the park’s recent history and follows the successful opening of Pirates’ Plummet earlier this year. With Rotor set to become one of the park’s headline thrill rides, excitement has been building ever since construction began.

What Is Rotor?
Rotor is a high-energy inverted thrill ride that combines spinning, swinging and full 360-degree inversions into one adrenaline-filled experience.
Unlike traditional flat rides where your feet remain on the floor, Rotor lifts riders into suspended seats, leaving their legs dangling freely as the ride twists and flips through the air.
Crealy describes Rotor as a ride designed to “defy gravity”, making it unlike anything else currently available in Devon. The attraction officially opens on Friday 31 July 2026, becoming the only inverted ride of its kind in the South West.
What Can Riders Expect?
If you’re a fan of intense flat rides, Rotor should be right up your street.
During the ride experience you can expect:

Height Restriction
To ride Rotor you must be:
Minimum height: 120cm
The ride uses individual overhead restraints to keep riders secure throughout the experience. Loose items should be stored before boarding, and anyone prone to motion sickness or vertigo should consider whether the attraction is suitable for them.
Annual Pass Holder Bonus
If you’re a Crealy Annual Pass holder, there’s an extra perk.
From 31 July until 31 August, Rotor will be available exclusively for Annual Pass holders between 10am and 11am each day, giving members an opportunity to enjoy shorter queues during the first hour of operation.
A Huge Year for Crealy
Rotor is the second major attraction to open at Crealy in 2026.
Earlier this season the park unveiled Pirates’ Plummet, the South West’s tallest drop tower, signalling a major shift towards offering more thrilling attractions alongside the family favourites the park is already known for.
Together, the two additions represent one of the biggest investments in Crealy’s history and reinforce the park’s ambition to become one of the UK’s leading family thrill destinations.
