Paultons Park has unveiled plans for a proposed new holiday village alongside its Hampshire theme park, which could give visitors the opportunity to stay on site and enjoy a more immersive family getaway.
The theme park, home to Peppa Pig World and the new Valgard: Realm of the Vikings area, is currently consulting on an early masterplan for the development before submitting a planning application. The proposals include a range of accommodation, landscaped surroundings and a dedicated entrance connecting the holiday village directly to the park. Official consultation website
What Is Being Proposed at Paultons Park?
The proposed Paultons Park Resort Scheme would introduce a nature-inspired holiday village within the park’s existing ownership boundary, next to the current theme park.
At the heart of the development would be a central lake, landscaped spaces and a village square designed to create a relaxing environment for families between their theme park visits.
The plans also include a Welcome Building where guests would check in, alongside proposed restaurant and bar facilities, a shop and additional guest accommodation.
A dedicated entrance to Paultons Park is another key feature, potentially making it easier for holidaymakers to access the attractions during their stay.

A Range of Accommodation Options
One of the most interesting elements of the proposals is the variety of accommodation styles being considered.
Rather than a traditional hotel complex, the designs take inspiration from Scandinavian woodland architecture, with several different types of accommodation planned for different parts of the site.
These include:
- Parkside Suites: Accommodation positioned close to the theme park.
- Lakeside Lodges: Lodges overlooking the proposed central lake.
- A-frame Cabins: Forest-inspired cabins set within landscaped woodland clearings.
- Burrowed Lodges: Low-profile lodges featuring green roofs and curved designs.
- Treehouses: Elevated accommodation designed to blend into the surrounding landscape.
- Riverside Lodges: More secluded accommodation positioned along the western boundary.
The designs are currently illustrative, meaning the final layouts, appearance and accommodation numbers could change as the proposals develop.

A Car-Free Holiday Village
The masterplan also outlines plans for a largely car-free village environment.
Guests would arrive and park in a dedicated parking area before making their way into the accommodation village. Electric buggies are proposed to help transport luggage, while the village itself would feature landscaped routes and shared outdoor spaces.
The plans also include a village square with interactive water-play fountains, natural outdoor play areas, an entertainment space and an indoor games room.
Accessibility is another consideration, with proposals including step-free paths, wider routes, level thresholds and accessible accommodation options.
What Could the Development Mean for Visitors?
If approved and eventually built, the holiday village could offer families a new way to experience Paultons Park.
Visitors travelling from further afield might be able to combine their theme park trip with an overnight stay, reducing the need to travel between the park and accommodation elsewhere.
The proposed setting could also provide a different experience from a conventional hotel, with woodland-inspired cabins, lakeside lodges and outdoor spaces forming part of the overall holiday.
However, the development remains at the consultation stage. No final opening date has been confirmed, and visitors should not yet expect the proposed accommodation to be available to book.

Traffic, Construction and the Local Community
The consultation also addresses the potential impact on nearby residents and the surrounding area.
Plans include dedicated resort parking, changes to internal access routes and measures intended to manage construction noise, dust and effects on local wildlife.
The project team has outlined a phased construction approach, with consideration given to the theme park’s winter closed season and ways to protect surrounding woodland.
The proposals also identify potential employment opportunities and work for local suppliers if the development progresses.
These remain proposed measures and forecasts rather than confirmed outcomes.

Have Your Say on the Paultons Park Plans
Paultons Park is inviting residents, visitors, businesses and other interested parties to share their views on the emerging proposals.
The consultation covers the masterplan, accommodation designs, landscaping, environmental considerations, access and the potential effects on the local community.
Feedback is due by 25 October 2026. Comments can be submitted through the official Paultons Park consultation website.
Following the consultation, the project team intends to consider the feedback and advice from relevant consultees before submitting a planning application to the New Forest National Park Authority.
Could This Be the Next Big Step for Paultons Park?
Paultons Park has continued to develop its offering, with the opening of Valgard: Realm of the Vikings in 2026 and the upcoming Serpent’s Curse water coaster announced for 2027.
A dedicated holiday village would represent another significant step, potentially expanding the park beyond a traditional day-visit destination.
For families who already travel considerable distances to visit Peppa Pig World and the park’s other attractions, the possibility of staying on site could make a future visit even more appealing.
For now, the plans remain subject to further design work and the planning process. The coming months should provide a clearer picture of whether the proposed holiday village will become a reality.
