Visitors to Blackpool Pleasure Beach have been met with huge queues today, with the park’s newest thrill ride, Aviktas, reaching a wait time of over two hours as crowds flock to experience the record-breaking attraction.
The giant Intamin Gyro Swing has quickly become one of the park’s biggest attractions since opening earlier this season, and today’s busy conditions have seen guests willing to wait more than 120 minutes for a ride.
Meanwhile, there was disappointment for many visitors as the park’s award-winning dark water ride Valhalla remained closed throughout the day. Live ride availability listed the attraction as unavailable, with no reopening time shown.
Valhalla is one of Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s most popular attractions and is regularly a must-do ride for guests visiting the resort. While occasional downtime can happen for technical or operational reasons, a full-day closure is always disappointing, particularly during the busy summer season.
With schools breaking up and holiday crowds increasing, long queues are expected across many of the park’s headline attractions over the coming weeks. Guests planning a visit are advised to arrive early, make use of live queue times through the official app, and check ride availability before heading across the park.
