Blackpool Pleasure Beach Adds The Grand National to Journey to Hell Ride Line-Up

Grand National at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has added the iconic Grand National roller coaster to the ride line-up for its Halloween event, Journey to Hell, giving thrillseekers another opportunity to experience one of the park’s most famous attractions after dark.

The historic wooden roller coaster is a fan favourite at Pleasure Beach Resort, offering riders the chance to race against another train on its famous twin-track layout.

The Grand National Joins the Halloween Thrills

First opened in 1935, The Grand National is one of Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s most recognisable attractions. The classic wooden coaster features two racing trains that leave the station together, competing against each other around a circuit that uses a Möbius-loop layout.

With its distinctive racing format and traditional wooden coaster experience, The Grand National offers a different kind of thrill from the park’s modern roller coasters.

Its addition to the Journey to Hell ride line-up gives visitors another reason to stay for the after-dark entertainment and experience the park in a different atmosphere.

What Else Can Visitors Experience at Journey to Hell?

Journey to Hell has undergone a major revamp for 2026, combining daytime rides and family-friendly Halloween activities with evening scares, themed scare zones and live entertainment.
