Blackpool Pleasure Beach has announced that guests will have the chance to experience its brand-new attraction, AVIKTAS, ahead of its official opening during a special technical rehearsal event this Saturday, 16th May.

According to information shared by the park, the new attraction is set to officially open on 21st May, but visitors attending the park this weekend may be able to ride early as the team carries out final testing and operational rehearsals.

How Guests Can Take Part

The rehearsal sessions will run between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday, with guests required to head to the Hub area if they wish to participate.

Unlike a separately ticketed preview event, access to the rehearsals is included with a valid park admission ticket. Eligible tickets include:

  • All You Can Ride eTickets
  • Flex Passes
  • Nickelodeon Land eTickets

The park has confirmed that the experience will operate on a first come, first served basis, meaning guests are encouraged to arrive early if they want the best chance of riding.

Important Restrictions and Rules

Blackpool Pleasure Beach also shared several important guidelines for the rehearsal event:

  • Riders must meet the attraction’s height restrictions, with a minimum height of 130cm and a maximum of 200cm.
  • Filming and photography will not be permitted in the ride area during the technical rehearsals. This includes the use of Meta glasses and similar recording devices.
  • Guests should expect potentially lengthy queues due to the limited rehearsal capacity and anticipated demand.

The park described the event as a “technical rehearsal” rather than a full preview opening, meaning operations may stop and start throughout the day as teams continue testing procedures.

Alternative Option for Guests Wanting Shorter Queues

For visitors hoping to avoid the heavy rehearsal queues, the park has also confirmed that AVIKTAS will operate from 2pm on selected days before the official launch for Speedy One holders.

Speedy One access will reportedly be available from £15 per person on participating dates ahead of the attraction’s grand opening.

Excitement Builds Ahead of Opening Day

The announcement has generated significant excitement among theme park fans eager to experience AVIKTAS before the official debut on 21st May. With technical rehearsals often offering the first public rides on major new attractions, demand is expected to be extremely high throughout the morning session.

Guests planning to attend are advised to arrive early, prepare for queues, and remember that the event is still part of the ride’s testing process.
