Movie Park Germany is kicking off production for a cinematic anniversary summer! As the peak season begins on the Hollywood set and vacation time approaches, Germany’s largest film and theme park is elevating its entertainment experience and event line up. New highlights—including the “Movie Park’s Summer Nights” events, the new magic show “100 Years Houdini” featuring illusionist Christian Farla, and three new PAW Patrol heroes as walking characters—will set the stage for the summer celebrating Movie Park Germany’s 30th anniversary.

With the official anniversary event on July 4, a festive highlight will be in store for guests: Movie Park Germany will be celebrating 30 years of film and park history until late in the evening. An expanded entertainment program and the official premiere of “Movie Park’s Parade of Celebration,” will offer guests additional experiences to enjoy. The anniversary parade will not only pay tribute to the park’s history but also mark the beginning of a new era of “Hollywood in Germany”.

A summer production full of fun and action is about to start: After opening the new Paramount attraction“Journey to the Forbidden Chamber” in May and presenting the new Nickelodeon LAND Street Show, Movie Park can now continue to bring new family experiences to life in summer.

New magic show with Christian Farla at Studio 7: “100 Years of Houdini”

In addition to plenty of cinematic magic and a matching Hollywood atmosphere, Movie Park’s anniversary year will feature new, spectacular large-scale illusions that create scenes straight out of a movie. International illusionist and escape artist Christian Farla returns to Studio 7 this summer with a new theatrical production:“100 Years Houdini” — a spectacular tribute to the world’s most legendary escape artist, Harry Houdini.

Exactly 100 years after Houdini’s death, audiences will experience the impossible brought back tolife through breathtaking escapes, grand illusions, and astonishing magic. The new family-friendly production asks the ultimate question: What would Houdini perform if he could return to the stage today?“100 Years Houdini” combines high-energy entertainment, danger, mystery, and modern illusion in a unique family show that honors Houdini’s legendary legacy. The show will be performed daily from July 5 until August 30.

Rocky, Zuma, and Everest join the PAW Patrol

More pups, more fun, more adventure for the whole family: The PAW Patrol is welcoming more canine heroes and is ready for new missions! Just in time for summer vacation, the three dogs Zuma, Rocky, and Everest will join the existing quartet of Chase, Marshall, Rubble, and Skye. Movie Park Germany will be home to a total of seven PAW Patrol characters, allowing fans of all ages to dive even deeper into the TV world of the beloved puppy patrol.

Their favourite heroes will not only be available for meet-and-greets but will also be integrated into the park’s entertainment program, such as the anniversary parade and the Nickelodeon LAND Street Show. This allows Movie Park not only to expand its focus as a family destination, but also to offer a unique experience for all families. So many PAW Patrol characters can only be found at Movie Park Germany!

Movie Park’s Summer Nights: opening hours until 9 p.m. with special program

Hollywood’s dream factory is coming alive in the evening! For “Movie Park’s Summer Nights,” Germany’s largest film and theme park is extending its opening hours until 9 p.m. on four select Saturdays. In addition to cocktails and special food and drink offerings, guests can look forward to live music and entertaining activities.

Guests can experience the magic of the Summer Nights on July 25, August 1, August8, and August 15.The Santa Monica Pier creates a California vibe with a surf simulator, a chill-out area featuring lounge chairs,palm trees, and sand, as well as a live DJ. Inspired by the American city of Nashville, Movie Park brings a genuine country atmosphere to the park’s Western area with the music duo “Tialda & Sascha,” while a rodeo ride offers an action-packed attraction for all cowboys and Western fans.

Movie Park’s new parade will also be part of the Summer Nights program, bringing Hollywood-style entertainment to the film set at 7 p.m. At Iron Claw Plaza, another live DJ will get the party started and takeover the open-air dance floor.

Celebrating a milestone: Movie Park Germany’s anniversary event on July 4

30 Years of “Hollywood in Germany” – an occasion that not only marks a milestone but also brings back memories. What began back in 1996 remains the central theme of Movie Park today: Hollywood and cinematic experiences up close.

On July 4, 2026, Movie Park Germany will roll out the red carpet and celebrate its anniversary. An extensive program featuring live music and entertainment, starting in the morning on the New York Plaza Stage, will provide the festive frame for this special day, while cinematic street acts and look-alikes will transport guests even deeper into the world of movies and offer additional opportunities for interaction in the park.

During a panel discussion, former Movie Park personalities will look back on an eventful history. In the afternoon, the official celebration ceremony will begin in Studio 7, festively opened by a 60-pieceorchestra. A retrospective on 30 years of film and park history will highlight the major milestones in a special anniversary movie.

An interactive quiz, a live DJ set, and musical performances will also be part of the festivities, while the park’s regular shows—such as the “Operation Red Carpet” stunt show or the “Nickelodeon LAND Street Show”—will also run during the anniversary event. A major highlight of the evening will be the official premiere of the new “Movie Park’s Parade of Celebration,” which brings a thoroughly American show experience to life on Hollywood Boulevard.

A more than 20-minute long journey through the world of movies,featuring high-quality new parade floats, more walking characters, and spectacular show stops, is ready for its grand debut.

For this anniversary event, Movie Park will extend its opening hours until 11 p.m. to celebrate this major30th milestone together with its guests, partners, and employees. The operating hours of the attractions will also be extended and adjusted accordingly, ensuring plenty of action well into the evening. The event will conclude with festive fireworks that will light up the sky above the park and honor a long, significant chapter before Movie Park embarks on the next era of Hollywood in Germany.

Anniversary makeover for the park’s entrance area

Decorations to mark this major milestone are also part of the summer production. In addition to festive birthday decorations on Hollywood Boulevard, the park’s entrance area has also received a small makeover—with local support on set:In cooperation with Bottrop-based company MC Bauchemie the old logo in front of the main gate has been renewed and, in honor of the 30th anniversary, given a new Movie Park Studios design that further highlights the park’s film studio character and identity.

Daily entertainment program for the vacation period and special events

Movie Park Germany is stepping up its entertainment program on all school vacation days in North Rhine-Westphalia! Not only is the new “Movie Park’s Parade of Celebration” a regular feature of the daily show program, but the shows created in-house by the park—on the New York Plaza Stage, in the Western Saloon, and at Van Helsing’s Club—will also take place daily.

In addition, the “Spotlight – Your Car in the Spotlight!” event is coming to the Hollywood set, where selected vehicles will take center stage on August 15. The summer program is also complemented by themed special events such as the Western Festival, which will enrich the summery park setting with more movie moments on July 18.
